Kim Min-jae full-time and goal-starting performance Munich crushes Kiel 6-1, 3rd consecutive league win

National soccer team defender Kim Min-jae (Bayern Munich) returned from playing two consecutive matches in the third qualifying round for the 2026 North and Central America World Cup and immediately played full-time for his team, contributing to the team's great victory.

Kim Min-jae started in the away game against Holstein Kiel in the 3rd round of the 2024-2025 German professional football Bundesliga held at the Holstein Stadion in Kiel, Germany on the 15th (Korean time) and played until the end of the game.

Kim Min-jae has started in all three Bundesliga matches and one DFB Pokal match since the start of this season.

He showed a shaky performance in the opening league match against Wolfsburg last month, including giving up a goal due to a mistake, and was substituted in the 36th minute of the second half due to injury concerns, but he has played the full 90 minutes in all other official matches and seems to be regaining his position.

In this match, which was held after returning from the first match of the third round of the World Cup qualifiers against Palestine held in Seoul on the 5th and the second match against Oman held in Muscat, Oman on the 10th during the A-match period this month, he played full-time with Dayot Upamecano as a central defender.

Munich crushed Kiel 6-1, led by star goalscorer Harry Kane's hat-trick, and took the lead (9 points) with three consecutive wins to start the league season.

On the other hand, Kill suffered three consecutive losses to start the season and finished in last place, 18th (0 points).

Munich took the lead with a goal by Jemal Musiala just 10 seconds after the start of the game and dominated the game throughout.

In the 7th minute of the first half, Kane scored a goal after Serge Gnabry broke through the opposing defense in the penalty area, and in the 13th minute of the first half, Kiel midfielder Nicolai Lemberg scored an own goal, giving Munich a 3-goal lead in an instant.

In the 43rd minute of the first half, Kane scored an additional goal with Kim Min-jae serving as the starting point.

Kim Min-jae's long float from behind the halfway line saw Kingsley Coman advance down the left flank and send a low cross, which Kane calmly fired into the net from the penalty area with his right foot.

Munich, who added another goal through Michael Olisse in the 20th minute of the second half, conceded a goal to Kiel's Armin Gigovic in the 37th minute of the second half, but finished the game smoothly with Kane scoring a penalty kick to complete his hat-trick in added time in the second half.

Kane, who scored his 2nd to 4th league goals this season, is tied for the top scorer.

WhoScored.com, a soccer statistics specialist, gave Kim Min-jae a rating of 7.2.

While Kane received a perfect score of 10, Coman (8.7), Gnabry (8.2) and Musiala (8.0) who followed him in the second line all scored more than 8 points.

Footmob gave Kim Min-jae a score of 7.8. Here again, Kane got the highest score with 9.8.

Union Berlin's Jung Woo-young started the away game against Leipzig on the bench, but came on as a substitute for Benedikt Hollerbach in the 24th minute of the second half and played for around 20 minutes.

Jung Woo-young, who was loaned from Stuttgart to Union Berlin after the start of the season, was substituted in the 44th minute of the second half of the second round match against St. Pauli at the end of last month, and increased his playing time on this day.

Union Berlin, who drew 0-0 with Leipzig, recorded 1 win and 2 draws since the start of the league and are now in 8th place (5 points).
