Hahm Woo Ham, tied for 45th place in Porsche Singapore Classic 1R
Ham Sung-woo, winner of the 2023 Korea Professional Golfers' (KPGA) Tour Genesis Grand Prize, got off to a flying start at the DP World Tour Porsche Singapore Classic (total prize money of $2.5 million).
In the first round of the tournament, which took place at Laguna National Golf Resort Club (par 72, 7420 yards) in Singapore on Sunday, Ham posted 2-under 70 with four birdies and two bogeys. At the tournament, 132 players participated, he tied for 45th on the first day.
After tee-off at the 10th (par 4), Ham garnered birdie at the 1st hole and added birdie at the 13th (par 5). He made consecutive bogeys at the 14th (par 4) and 16th (par 4) to return to square one, but in the second half, he made birdies at the 1st (par 4) and 4th (par 3).
The first-round lead was shared by three players: Kiradek Afibarnrat (Thailand), Garvin Green (Malaysia) and Jordan Smith (England), who shot an 8-under 64.
Afibarnrat swept nine birdies and added one bogey, while Green recorded one eagle, seven birdies, and one bogey. Smith showed off his perfect play by making one eagle and six birdies.
Kang Sung-hoon recorded five birdies, two bogeys, and two quadruple bogeys, falling to a tie for 127th (5-over-par 77).
