The Korea Professional Golf Association (KPGA) and Lexus Korea held an agreement ceremony to hold the Lexus Masters, a new competition of the KPGA Tour for the 2024 season, at the Lexus Gangnam exhibition hall in Seoul on the 21st.

Several officials, including Lexus Korea President Manabu Konyama and KPGA President Kim Won-seop, attended the signing ceremony to pledge cooperation to host the competition.

The Lexus Masters, worth 1 billion won in total prize money, will be held for four days from August 29 to September 1, 2024, in the form of a 72-hole stroke play in the fourth round, and the location and field size will be confirmed later.

"I think Lexus, who pursues craftsmanship, and KPGA Tour players, who constantly strive for golf, have a common aspiration to be the best in their field," said Lexus Korea President Manabu Konyama. He added, "The Lexus Masters is an opportunity for KPGA Tour players to play to their heart's content." "I hope to showcase my skills and lay the foundation for Lexus and KPGA to grow together."

Lexus Korea, which newly joined the KPGA Tour as the title sponsor for the 2024 season, is meeting various customer needs such as hybrid (HEV), plug-in hybrid (PHEV), and electric vehicle (BEV) with its "Multi Pathway" strategy for carbon neutrality. It continues to introduce electric vehicle models that can meet these demands. As a result of its efforts to put customer satisfaction first, it also ranked first in the after-sales service (AS) satisfaction for the fifth consecutive year in Consumer Insight's "2023 Annual Automobile Planning Survey."

"Lexus Masters" will be broadcast live every round on SBS Golf 2, a broadcaster hosted by KPGT.
