Liverpool vs Chelsea '2023-24 Carabao Cup Final' starting lineup revealed
Liverpool and Chelsea will go head-to-head for the 2023-24 English Carabao Cup (EFL Cup) title.
Liverpool and Chelsea will meet in the 2023-24 Carabao Cup final at Wembley Stadium in London, England, on June 26 at 0:00 a.m. ET.
Liverpool will start with Kellerher, Endo, Van Dijk, Conte, Dias, McAllister, Bacpo, Elliot, Robertson, Hrabenberg, and Bradley.
Chelsea will start with Petrovic, Guisto, Dissah, Colwill, Chilwell, Caicedo, Enzo, Gallagher, Palmer, Jackson, and Sterling.
Liverpool are looking to win their 10th Carabao Cup title. To date, Liverpool have won the Carabao Cup nine times, the most of any English Premier League (EPL) team.
It could also be Jürgen Klopp's last trophy as manager. Klopp will step down as manager of Liverpool at the end of this season. After overseeing Liverpool"s golden era, it"ll be interesting to see if he can lead his team to the title one last time.
Chelsea will be looking to win their first title under Mauricio Pochettino. Pochettino was brought in to rescue the Blues from a crisis ahead of this season, but he has 먹튀검증 yet to turn things around. Currently, Chelsea are in 10th place in the EPL, and they're still struggling to qualify for European competition this season.
This makes winning the Carabao Cup all the more urgent for Chelsea. Pochettino and Chelsea are even more desperate to win the trophy, as it will qualify them for the knockout stages.
However, they have a terrible history with Wembley Stadium. Chelsea have lost all five of their recent finals at Wembley. Notably, the Blues have reached the final of the League Cup twice, but have had to fight back tears after failing to come out on top. Against Liverpool, Chelsea will be looking to break the jinx.
The two teams have already met twice this season. They met in the league opener and drew 1-1, before meeting again a day later in a 4-1 victory in favor of Liverpool.
Coincidentally, the two sides met in both the Carabao Cup and FA Cup finals in 2021-22, with both finals heading to penalties after a 0-0 draw, with Liverpool coming out on top on both occasions.
