PSG jubilant over Lee Kang-In jackpot: "Another Asian player! Probably a Japanese player"

The jackpot was rightly celebrated.

"Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has achieved great success with Lee Kang-in, both on and off the field," said France's RMC Sports on Feb. 2 (KST), "and with that, they dream of signing another Asian player. It will probably be a Japanese player," the report said.

Since joining PSG in the summer transfer window, Lee has emerged as a star for the club. He has solidified his place in the team, sharing goals with Kylian Mbappe, the team's "ace in the hole" after Neymar's departure. He is especially trusted by coach Luis Enrique.

He is also popular among fans. On Nov. 30 last year, Ligue 1 said on its official website that "PSG's hidden superstar is Lee Kang-in" and that "Paris is going crazy for Lee Kang-in".

At the time, Ligue 1 said, "Lee's shirts are selling like hotcakes. You see his name more than Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele. PSG have sold more of Lee's jerseys than Mbappe's since he joined the club".

There has been some criticism. Last month, French media outlet Planet PSG reported that "French soccer pundit Pierre Menez has labeled Lee 'overrated' on his YouTube channel," and relayed Menez's opinion. The article was titled "Is Lee really overrated (PSG: Kang-In-Lee surcoté)?".

"I always claimed that he was light, and it's true that he scored two or three goals, but I think he's light," Menes said at the time, "He lacks personality. He dribbles a lot, especially on the flanks, and he doesn't have the ability to pass forward." So-so reviews.

However, it was clear that Enrique knew the player well. "He is a very important player for us," Enrique said in a press conference on December 21 last year before the game against Metz. "He can play on the right wing, on the left wing, 토토사이트 he can play in the center, sometimes he can play as a fake striker. He has the best technique, and he can also defend. He sacrifices so much for the team."

In fact, Enrique was reportedly very disappointed with Lee's departure. Unlike other players, he reportedly asked Lee and Ashf Hakimi to return early if they were eliminated from the Confederations Cup. It's literally a validation that they are key players in the team.

Add to that the commercial benefits, and you have the ultimate jackpot of the summer transfer window. As RMC Sport journalist Daniel Riolo said on air, "PSG's signing of Lee is a huge deal. "The PSG hierarchy is ecstatic about the signing of Lee Kang-in, and will probably make another Asian move in the upcoming summer transfer window," he said. They will probably make a move in the summer transfer window."

In addition to his soccer skills, Lee's commercial appeal is overwhelming, even surpassing that of Kylian Mbappe. "There's the sporting aspect of Lee, but PSG has been incredibly successful in the commercial market as well. South Korea has become PSG's third largest market after France and the United States."

Meanwhile, PSG has chosen South Korea as a base of operations for its Asian expansion. "We're going to open a new flagship store in Korea," PSG director Mark Armstrong told the program, "and there's a possibility of additional Korean sponsors. We are confident that we can progress in the league."
